Being in the world of education, it is absolutely essential that we acknowledge the fact that
Black Lives Matter
Black LGBTQ+ Lives Matter
Always.
I talk a lot about creating a space that feels safe and accepting for students and classroom atmosphere is one of the first steps to achieving that. A poster isn’t enough, but it is a start and I hope that this series of posters coming out is affirming for even just one student or teacher. I hope when a student sees this Black Lives Matter or one of my Love is Love posters, they feel inspired. And they feel comfortable knowing that they are accepted in that space.
